 We may not have had time to add recently confirmed bookings to our calendar so please send an enquiry to confirm availability

 We are not a  B&B – we do not provide periodic cleaning / meals or food  / laundering services / telephone

If you book the cottage no other guests will occupy it during your stay it is fully self contained

We do ask you to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state on departure with dishes washed and put away and all items of furniture put back in their original positions or cleaning fee will apply

Firewood is available at petrol station on highway turnoff to the cottage / we do  provide one bag  hardwood/kindling and fire starters
bagged firewood is often too large to burn and needs splitting – so we suggest purchasing the kindling size for ease of use

Basic breakfast provided  –  cereal /  spreads / tea / coffee / litre of milk /  – please bring your own bread

If your booking was made after 1st July 2021 and you are not permitted to travel due to covid-19 restrictions in your area ? Don’t worry dates can be transferred to a later date – sorry no refunds

We do match any special rates you may see on other sites. Special event rate applies to certain high demand weekends please enquire
(our site does offer the the best rate going at the time of your enquiry)
but you cannot make an enquiry via the other sites first or will we have to accept the booking through them.

Festival and special event weekends are charged at a higher rate – please enquire.
Weekly bookings that include a public holiday weekend incur a $90 surcharge.

“I recently spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Secret Garden Cottage with a friend and my two dogs. The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. It is quiet and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Canine friends are catered for also, with beds, bowls and towels available (+ the garden is 100% fenced). There are heaters in every room + fireplace in the lounge -oodles of magazines and movies to watch also. Honestly, you could not ask for more! Will definitely return to this place again – Thank you Fiona!”

From the moment we arrived with the music softly playing (and I would love a copy of that CD) to our walk through your garden, to the comfort of the kitchen, to relaxing in the lounge with the open fire, to your comfortable bed…we are coming back. In fact, are you taking bookings for next year yet? What a lovely way to spend a weekend and our anniversary, and we even got to see the little bird on Sunday morning in the mirror window at the garage!

We even managed to take photos of ourselves together (which we thought particularly clever!) throughout the cottage and gardens.

The attention to detail for our stay was simply perfect

It was such a homely feel from the moment we arrived with the soft music playing and the immaculately presented accommodation.

Not to mention out little Yorkie BJ loved the garden and adopted it immediately as his big maize and greatly appreciated his own treats that had been left.

We will definitely hope to come back as we wore many pairs of shoes out fossicking the old bric a brac shops, eating delicious morning and afternoon teas and searching for vintage clothes……but I am sure there was things we still missed to do.

As soon as we opened the door we got that warm, welcoming feeling. The cottage is comfortable & clean . The garden is just gorgeous with lots of nooks & crannies to explore, & a great safe & secure environment for our dog. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the main streets of Katoomba so there’s no need to take the car & battle it out for a carpark, & it’s far enough away to be in a quiet & peaceful setting. We loved it.”
